Matt joined the True AP team in November of 2018 with a passion for both helping people and fitness training. Though he wasn’t exactly sure where he wanted to take his professional path at that time, he now credits True AP for helping him hone in on his mission, which he is fulfilling in his current role as a Sports Performance Coach.

From the time he was a young child, he played any type of sport he was able to, enjoying learning the unique skills and techniques that each sport required. Once he began playing at Chantilly High School in Chantilly, Virginia, he shifted all of his athletic focus into football. Matt began his college career at Northern Virginia Community College, later transferring to George Mason University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. He is also working towards his Personal Trainer Certification through the American Council of Exercise (ACE).

Matt has a strong passion for helping young athletes reach their goals, both personally and professionally. He enjoys seeing the positive changes that young athletes experience during their time with True AP, as well as the relationships he has built with fellow coaches, players, and parents.

When he isn’t working with young athletes or working on his studies, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and following all of the Washington, DC-area sports teams.
