ELITE SPEED ACADEMY
- Join Jamel Mins, a former Maryland high school track state champion, to receive an individualized speed development program in a competitive small-group atmosphere.
- Jamel brings a unique new perspective to the Elite Speed Academy. His deep understanding of what athletes need to succeed will help TrueAP athletes achieve their best on and off the field.
- We help athletes improve speed and change of direction through biomechanical analysis, advanced technical training and individualized resisted running protocols.
- The Elite Speed Academy aims to significantly enhance fundamental speed skills and elevate the overall athletic performance of participants. Our sessions will focus on employing the latest training techniques and cutting-edge technology, including the utilization of GPS units, exer-genie, run rocket and laser timing systems.
- If you want to master and improve your SPEED, this is for you!

SPEED is a SKILL and can be TAUGHT

How do we test athletes?
Athletes undergo pre and post testing utilizing laser timing systems similar to those used in the NFL Combine. The athletes will get measurements for acceleration, max speed, the 40 or 60 yard dash, broad jump, and vertical jump. The athletes will also each get entered into the Universal Speed Rating System (USR).

Why did we produce those results?
We analyze each athlete's split times and biomechanics to identify the correct resisted sprint loading and biomechanical drills for them. This will help each athlete get an individualized plan in a group setting so they can improve the most they are capable of in 6 weeks.

How do we improve?
An individual resisted running and drill program is created for each athlete to improve the athlete's power, speed, and biomechanics in sprinting and jumping. They work in a competitive group of 8-12 athletes which allows advanced training specific each athlete’s unique needs.

Did we improve?
In the final two weeks the athletes will refine their speed to game like situations and peak to hit personal bests in all sprints. The program retests their sprints every 2 weeks and at the conclusion so they can see how much they have improved and build confidence to help them dominate on the field.
