BILLY FIERSTEIN
- Performance Coach
Billy Fierstein, a native of Gaithersburg, Maryland carries a deeply ingrained passion for athletics and has cultivated a strong foundation for his role as a TrueAP coach.
Billy is a graduate of Quince Orchard High School. He pursued higher education at Towson University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Anthropology. Furthering his commitment to education, he earned his Master’s Degree in Special Education from Bowie State University.
Athletics have always played a significant role in Billy’s life. Growing up, he actively participated in football, basketball, and lacrosse, the latter of which he played collegiately.
Billy joined the TrueAP team in the summer of 2023, drawn by the dynamic staff culture and the opportunity to work with motivated and talented coaches. The challenge of pushing himself to be his best in every training session resonated deeply with him.
Billy’s passion for working with athletes is fueled by the desire to provide future generations with the same opportunities and support that he was fortunate to receive throughout his athletic journey.
As a coach, Billy stands out with his specialization in sport-specific training. His primary focus revolves around football, basketball, and lacrosse, where he hones athletes’ strength and overall athleticism. This targeted approach enables athletes to excel in their respective sports.
In addition to his work at TrueAP, Billy has been an assistant varsity lacrosse coach at Quince Orchard High School for the past three seasons and will be an assistant varsity football coach at Strasburg High School starting this fall.
Billy hails from a family deeply rooted in sports, with a grandfather who played in the NFL and younger siblings currently pursuing college football and professional basketball careers in Europe. In his spare time, Billy enjoys hiking, traveling, teaching, and training others.
