Jamel Mins, a native of Baltimore, Maryland and Columbia, Maryland, brings a wealth of athletic experience and a burning passion for sports to the TrueAP team.

Jamel is an alum of Atholton High School, where he competed on the track team, serving as the team captain. His achievements include clinching the 3A 4×100 state championship and leaving a lasting legacy as the Atholton High 4×100 record holder.

Jamel continued to thrive as an athlete at Hood College, where he’s currently pursuing a degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications with a minor in Business Administration. On the track, he proved himself as a standout performer. Jamel’s impressive list of accolades includes being a 3x Hood College Indoor MVP, earning 1x Academic All MAC, and making 11x All-MAC and 5x All-Region teams. He holds records in various events, from the Indoor 60, 200m, 300m, 4×200, and 4×400, to the Outdoor 4×100 and 4×400.

Jamel’s decision to join the TrueAP team was driven by his passion for helping athletes improve their athletic skills. Being in a sports environment energizes him, and witnessing athletes give their all with unwavering competitive spirit fuels his dedication as a TrueAP coach.

With a background as a sprinter in high school and college, Jamel excels in speed training. His knowledge stems from the valuable insights of many coaches and his own extensive studies in the field. Jamel aspires to become a full-time coach himself one day.
