Learn How to Develop Speed All Year Long
No matter what sport you coach, speed kills.
Join True AP’s top speed coaches to discuss simple, effective, and time efficient ways of developing speed all year with our Speed Workshop. This two-hour workshop for coaches is aimed at providing you tools you can plug into your program in a way that makes sense for your program and culture to ensure your athletes are getting faster in and out of season.
The Program
This two-hour workshop will be broken down into two sections.
1st Hour
In a classroom setting, we will discuss programs, exercises, drills, and equipment for improving all parts of speed (acceleration, top speed, etc.) for your athletes. We’ll walk you through the tools we have found to be the most effective way at improving speed and how to tailor them to the demands of your sport and the athlete’s position. We will also discuss what we have found to be the most effective way to pair this with strength and conditioning.
2nd Hour
In a active setting, we will coach high school athletes through the drills and tools we’ve gone over in the classroom setting. This will give us the opportunity to coach together and share different styles, cues, and practical strategies for implementing these tools in a way that works for you and your staff.
At the end of the workshop, you will leave with a flexible 8-week sample program that you can implement on your own to see significant and measurable improvements in athlete speed.
Coaches of all sports at the high school level are welcome to participate.
